Burned into my heart with a brand
Forever changing
Eternally scarring

I'll never be the same
Changed by this great pain
No one can quite understand

What have I been through?
This yea rof struggle
Triggers some inner strife

Where do I go from here?
Live life like before?
My precious self is fleeting...

I do all I can
Before I am consumed
By its dreadful means

God is on my side
Whenever I'm lost in this struggle
Forever
