Child.
I am a child. `
A child of the night.
I walk the streets while the other sleep
my fingertips brushing against the tips
of oleander petals
cool rushes of wind
under perfect stars
the moon weaves a pearly path
down the lost road
I am a child
A child of the day
With golden hair
and sparkling skin
my teeth reflecting the brilliance
of shining lakes and bright clouds
the sun lights a bright path
I am a child
a child of the shelves
rustic memories
dissolved in perfect tales
dissapeared within bound covers
nestled in between soft pages
and sweet ink
I am a child
a child of people
laughter bustling wherever I walk
kind, respectful laughter
I smile
and the world smiles back
a daughter of a nation
a friend of my peers
I am a child
A child of writing
carefully carving each sentence
before laying them down
in neat rows
perfect curves
beauty captured in one stanza
paragraph
book
I am a child
A child of the morning and noon
I am a child
of the evening and night
When dusk turns to dawn
we pass each other
with a shy smile
and a nod
and change

| Some lovely poetic lines weaving their way through observation but most of all opening heart and soul whilst finding a place in this world.I like the main theme of I am a child alot then the exploration of that theme using great expressiveness and detailed description.Some of my favourite writing is what I call onion writing where you can just keep unwrapping the next layer and you have achieved this. |

There are times when writing "out of no where" spawns the greatest writes. It can be purely impressive and truly great This is no exception. Loved it!
