These Are Just the Small Things

Contributed by whitt on Saturday, 19th March 2011 @ 09:57:22 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

who is she that crys
wants it to be easier
so wishes to only die
who done this to her

is it the family split
that had sabotaged joy
or the hard heart hit
she loved only that boy

will she ever know love
will she ever be loved
save her by your embrace
and fill the empty space
from the gaping hole
inside her torn soul

tries but she cant commit
this sorrowful suicide
so to herself she admits
no more false subsides

she searches for happiness
one to make her smile
one to cure her sadness
even only for a while

will she ever be happy
and live her life gladly
give her a grin or two
make it one thats true
it became an eternal fact
she smiled right back

with every note she heard
came her mind soul and heart
scenes and their every word
came the happiness part

so who was she that cried
she that found her glee
she with smiles she cant hide
proudly to say she is me

i made a wall for romeo to climb
and found my soul through rhyme
i saw their happiness as my own
that made my smile widely known
i heard their lyrics that i sing
these are just the small things

This is very fine writing. Well put together words that flow nicely through the whole poem. I like most of all the final stanza. Thanks for posting.
