I wonder where you are
As I sit here all alone
I go to work in the morning
Punch out at night
Come home all on my own
As I wonder where you are.
I wonder who you are
Will you make me smile
I go out with my friends
Drink more than I should
Dreams change but do not defile
As I wonder who you are.
I wonder if you are
Am I destined to be by myself
I pray my prayers
Yet eat my words
Put your book back on the shelf
As I wonder if you are.

| I am little confused by the last section about wondering "if you are" as opposed to the very clear ideas expressed in sections one and two about "who you are." In the main, however, a thought-provoking poem! |

| it's about finding love - someone you haven't met yet. the last stanza "if you are" ponders if they exist. |
