When I'm asleep

This world is messed up
So I retreat into my dreams
And no theyre never perfect
And yet its almost what it feels like

Cuz when my eyes are closed you love me
When I arise youre so far away
Ill sleep and well just be kids again
Can I forget that box that they put you in?

My eyes are closed yet this face keeps staring
Im looking back at me
Why did you put me through this crap?
Why was it so obscene?

I hate that Im apart of you
To gaze with such despair
Dying to slip into a dream
This lifes a bleak nightmare
