I lie awake at night
Staring at the stars
Why is life like this
Trying all my might
Convicted of fighting Their beliefs
I cannot win this fight
Watch me fall away
Into the dying light
Somehow this just doesn't feel right
Life shouldn't feel this way
Sometimes I ponder this
But my throat just closes up tight
Society wants me to conform
I think I lack the sight
To see their point in this
When life has such a strong bite

I really enjoyed this. You sound like me.
I dont always fit into the norm of what everyone
else is doing just too (fit in) I dont do the conform game very often, lol. Great write!!
