Where Spirit meets soul There is life long war An eternal quest A struggle for me
Where Spirit meets soul There is barren land With trenches surround As shells fall in screams
And I the traitor Forsake my birthright Abandon my death Towards foreign flags When my soul cries out His Spirit takes hold
Where Spirit meets soul My heart burns with fire But only one shall win Whomever I deem
Where Spirit meets soul I am seen running Across No Man's land To the banner's gleam
And I the traitor Forsake my birthright Abandon my death Towards foreign flags When my soul cries out His Spirit takes hold

Always thought the spirit and the soul were one. Never considered the thought that they were in the midst of a war. The poem reads well, Interesting perspective |
