the shadows whisper
to me the fears held
so quietly,
between a heartbeat
and formality...
and they remind me
of the good things,
like the way the
world sings,
between a soft breath
and clarity...
but they tempt me
with their illusions,
with my darkness
and delusions,
between what could be
and reality...
