The caged songbird sings it song
as it breaks free
it's been gone far to long,
sanctuary
sweet sanctuary
I can't wait to kiss
your lips...
I look down
at the burning confusion
and I wonder
what is the major malfunction
why
is there so much pain?
Everyone seems like they're pretending
nothing is what it seems,
they take advantage
talking
but never saying what they mean.
The carousel keeps spinning....
I take my medication
and
float into a dream,
roller coaster of sounds
spin me
round and round.
oh I fly so high
I may never come down,
the real world
it just
freaks me out!
A Clown in confusion
Is what I am
so I guess I'll never understand,
sanctuary
sweet sanctuary
I am needing your kiss.

| Talking but never saying what they mean, the imagery in this is great, wonderful poetic description esp like a clown in confusion ,the longing to grasp a true reality,and to find peace..... sweet sanctuary I am needing your kiss, beautiful line,loved this. |
