Ed Learnitall was thin and tall A teacher to troubled youth With a lifetime pursuing new degrees Sparked his relentless quest for truth
Someday well hold the answers, hed say As he framed his new degree Until then he wrote his papers And the words flowed endlessly
But the more the man discovered The worse he felt inside The truth, he thought, would set him free Because were drowning in a sea of lies
Yet the truth is all his papers Strained the human eyes The truth was that nobody loved him much The truth certainly hurt inside
But the truth is we all feel this way At some point in our lifes brief time Still we clutter up our windows view And we bury the pain inside
What if we learned a lot less? And instead we tried to live What if we truly loved those around us? What if we started to forgive?

| The relentless search for truth often reveals that the whole time, the truth was right in front of us. :) That was a very inspirational poem. Well done. Knowledge is wonderful, but there are greater things in life. |
