Red Petals in the Snow

A soft red petal gently glides, and lands upon the snow, A final breath of life is spun, where hope would never go,
Frozen and preserved in snow, this petal is not lost, But frozen life is just a dream The host will pay the cost,
For when it thaws it will not be, a petal without frost, With thawing frost a memory Will fade without a thought,
And melt away this bitter taste, The frost within this mind, Oh bring me back to better days, A petal ... so divine.

Beautiful melancholic concept, concluded by an exquisite last verse of longing and hope, lovely write. |
