Can't run
Can't hide
Can't even confide
Lost
Alone
Betrayed
Blamed
I take it all
I take it in
Tears
I cry
Fears
I hide
No escape from reality
When its all you have
Knowing
Feeling
Understanding
What part of it matters
When
You are hurting
Aching
Breaking
Falling
How do you heal
From what is always there
Branded into your skin
Reminding you
Try to forget
And fail
Try again
Fail
Unending cycle
Only leaves
Scars
On my heart
In my soul
On my skin
There are the scars
Outside and within
