No more shame i'm not to blame

No more shame i'm not to blame
i feel like i will go insane
Why did you do it ? Why won't you Answer me ?
i am going insane please why can't you see that
what you did it broke my life, i am finding it hard to be a mother and wife
you took my childhood, my innocecne too just for the pleasure and gratification of you
I try to be brave i try to be hard but now my life feels like a house of cards one puff one blow and it will fall you know
i'm trying so hard to keep it together oh god i hope i don't feel like this forever
i told the truth and hoped it would stop but with a family like my of course it did not
a brief break i'm afraid and lip service you paid then once again on my tiny child's body you played
it became the norm more bearable just maybe, i became used to what you were doing to me
I would ask you to stop and i would run away but only until you came back the next day
you would shout me inside when i was out to play
it was time to be brave i'd have nothing to say
It wasn't just me now i know this is true you monster you beast you hurt quiet a few
those children those babies you make me feel sick i pray and i hope that they lock you up quick
where was your conscience where was your control i can only believe that the devil lives in your soul
you are bad you are brutal for playing these games
i shall get over this and go on living with no more shame
the people who didn't believe me,
the people who falter at the time of your trial their minds will all alter
i hope they go there i hope they listen to your crime and then they will see the fault is yours and not mine
where was your conscience where was your control the devil really does live in your soul.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
