On Angel's wings, you left me ~ rest now upon God's arm No more fear or worry ~ free from pain and harm In Heaven now, peek down on me ~ guide my steps, so God will see That when my time on earth is through, He'll bring me once again to you.
My hurting heart has much to share ~ I do that now, as if in prayer: Thank you, Mom, for all you did ~ the love for me me you never hid So many times my heart despaired, my humor soured, or temper flared Your calming words, your sweet embrace ~ a gentle kiss upon my face Healed my soul, changed my view ~ my inner faith restored anew.
Oh, not alone was I, please know ~ whose heart with love would overflow As Grandmas go, none could compare ~ your wisdom, guidance - always there For by example did you teach ~ instilling goodness into each The world in which we live today ~ is far the better, for your stay
So rest in peace, 'midst heavenly friends ~ God's home that beyond earth transcends And though you've left me here behind, you'll every day be on my mind 'Tho just on loan, God gave me YOU ~ I had you here my whole life through! Despite the sadness, I feel blessed ~ I am far luckier than the rest.
Close your eyes, now and sleep tight ~ I'll send you kisses every night.
