freezing or chilling, you're place or mine
freezing is good but it takes too much time
chilling reveals as door opens with light
beware use by dates or you'll sit through the night.

grilling or frying, you're place or mine
grilling is thrilling but leaves burnt on grime
frying is messy with splattery dreggs
but life would be drab without frying my eggs.

eating or drinking, you're place or mine
eating's fulfilling but i prefer wine
bottles lie empty in recycle bin
good nights remembered, i no longer grin.

washing or drying, you're place or mine
washing is sploshing, removes all the grime
pot towel lies dormant where you used to stand
i'll buy a dishwasher cause you were my right hand.
