velvet touch on silky strings
that are too much, yet not enough
I want you more than anything
but know my limits. Life is rough.
You walk and talk in honey tones
that sweetly warm those in your wake
I worshipped you like ancient stones
In awe of you, a big mistake.
what do I do to rid myself
of you? You're good, is just no good
the burden that you put on me
is heavy, but not understood.
I sit and think and know that you
are just a light that shines my way
you're not aware of what you do
and I don't have the right to say.
