Debate
so predictable, we know what you'll say
why not leave a message after the tone
it's a waste of live t.v., guess that's the way
we behave, when in clandestine gangs
must creep to the top
our ego's won't stop
for we are the chosen ones.
we smile to flashing cameras
but there's a hesitance
and a slight rouge
that gives the game away.

I must say what I'm expected to say
to fit in with the ways that I must comply
for strength comes through echoing the other guy
or gal, demographics must be obeyed
in these carefully choreographed days
for party lines comfort in uncertain times.
