I know I'm facing brand new tears, That have yet to come, To brush the cheek of my face, Falling down one by one.
This isn't love like always thought, But from a mother's point of view, The child sleeping in my lap, Isn't the same as me or you.
This one cries and yips and yelps, When I leave the room, A new attachment is here forever, The formation? Not a clue.
A love that runs deep to the core, Same, we can't replace, My dear don't cry, I'm right here, I can see it on your face.
I'll love you more than you have loved, In your short little life, Come running home always and now, Little one, you are my life.
