Ambitionless

The warmth
I won't leave it
But I must
Wanting to stay
And never leave
Not out of happiness
Shut out the sunshine
The end not asked for
Just an escape from function
Doused in misery
Wallowing in a pool of it
At least that's the dream
The want
The reality
Is dragging self
To greet the day
Well.. half way
Function minimal
But no wallowing aloud
It's not allowed
Procrastination
Tired... not sleepy
Just tired of it all
Wanting company
Wanting to be alone
A tornado of every emotion
So clear and confused all at once
Working toward future
Slowly
Struggling
Like climbing the bottom of a horizontal ledge
While looking down upon the drop below
Accentuating the intense fear of heights
I think I'll just hang here for a while
And hope my grasp doesn't slip
