What kind of place would the world be Without some regular girls like me? The larks would still sing, the sun would still shine, But my special places would no longer be mine. The quiet music of the stream, The golden patches of sunbeams Would anyone have the time to stop and breathe And catch the scent of the magnolia tree? There are impossible things I simply can't do Understand numbers, or signs, or combining the two But when it's sunny, I'll tilt my face up and smile while other indoors do things deemed "worthwhile". If today was penultimate, my very last day I'd gather the moments that took my breath away The sound of friends' laughter, the smell of the sea I'd lock them all up and keep them with me. I'm not sure who I am, or who I will be, But Ill come out on top, just you wait and see.
