What The Wind Spoke

Contributed by spiritbody on Wednesday, 11th May 2011 @ 03:09:30 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

A gentle whisper, the wind spoke on my face
With closed eyes to better hear the stories that it carried
Of dying suns, and raging storms
The welcome of a traveller returning home
And lovers to be married

A thousand and one memories awoke with the smell of the sea
Just like dust blown away from old books
Glistening in my mind was the setting sky
As though my eyes were wide
And upon slowly opening them
Just as the breeze left my finger tips
I found everything as it had been
Only the sand had stirred. And settle again.

Lovely and poetic in all its sense. I can read it again and again. The words of the poem draws a picture in my mind.
