The Light

There is a calm surrender
When the sun fades from the day
And the transition into night
Where the stars come out to play

The sky is dark, yet not black
Stars there to shed light
So the darkness is not as unforgiven
When forced to face the night

There is hope
Even when stars try to hide
Covered by the clouds
There is still hope on your side

For just because you can't see them
Doesn't mean there aren't there
Stars are like hope
And the burdens aren't only yours to bear

Have faith and hold hope
Remember you are never alone
Take in all that you can
Sometimes the best things aren't the ones shown

So believe and trust
When the sun rests for the night
Remember even in that darkness
There will always be a hidden light...
