A slip during the daily bath caused the fall
An unbearable pain as his body hit the wall
The ambulance brought him to emergency
Where skilful doctors attended with urgency
X-ray results determined stay in was the order
For the feeble old man had a hip bone fracture
A medical check he has not had for fifteen years
The probe for further checks brought him fears
The treatment required a stay in for months
As he lay feeble and weak in the hospital bed
Torrents of thoughts raised through his head
