Letting Go

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I saved the pendant of the hearts,
The one you gave me in July,
And those old emails in my inbox,
I still would read them and cry.

Over the last year,
Ive had many painful days,
And it may cause some more tears,
But its time to blow them away.

Oh letting go
Theres nothing in my way now,
Oh letting go
I feel like I can fly,

And even though,
Ill never forget everything,
I feel so happy
That Im letting go.

With the click of a button,
Youre our of my life and mind,
I sit back and turn on the TV,
And feel my stress level decline,

Its been many weeks,
Since everything went down,
My eyes no longer leak,
I feel better all around,

Oh letting go
Theres no one in my way now.
Oh Im letting go
Ive stopped asking why,

And even though,
Forever Ill remember,
Thank god Im finally
Letting go.

Oh letting go,
Youre no longer in my way,
Oh letting go,
Im free and Im alive,

And I still know,
Im not completely set,
But the first step
Is letting go.

Thank god Im finally.
Letting go.

This is great, I love it. I wish I was as strong as you and able to let go.
