Old green wizened, prisoned bold your need, Cold shale living, Schism of your greed.
'pon twisted branches, chances gone to seed, Long gnarled enchanted, canted by saline breeze.
Beneath steadfast boughs, sloughs bleak history, Wreathed with a truthful scowl, though bleeding subtle mystery.
And dignity weeps down, cowed yet flows with belief, Freed, released, unbound, At one with eternity.
