Sometimes I wonder if I ever cross your mind
Because heaven knows your on mine all the time
Three hundred hours since we crossed that line
And all I think about is how I wish you were mine
Do you regret the choices that you've made
Or was I simply not worth your time of day
Do you lay awake and think of May
Am I a fond memory or a mistake
Darling why is it that you're unable to see
That you've picked the wrong man because he isn't me
I know it's too soon to say that we're meant to be
But I promise you that you'll regret losing me
Maybe I'm over reacting and it meant nothing to you
But I will treasure every moment that I spent with you

Wow...here you describe such deep complexity of the heart. I can definitely relate to your disheartening experience, and what I learned from it is that love is never forced. Hope to read more of your work
