My Heart And My Head

My heart is falling hard,
But my head won't let me be
My heart sees something true
That my headdid not forsee

My heart keeps saying "go for it!"
While my head tells me, "slow down!"
My heart is smiling to itself
While in thought my head drowns

He tells me he loves me,
He says it's something true
When he said those simple words
My simple little heart flew

But my head says I'm a fool
For letting myself fall
It tells me that my hearts too big
And my head too small

I'm done conflicting; done debating
I knew it from the start
I'm going to ignore my head
And listen to my heart
