Angry birds squawk at my window pane; Their frantic cries drive me insane. Crude images flash before my eyes, My ears mindful of screams and sighs, My mind struggling to ward off the thoughts, The schemes, the conspiracies and the ugly plots, My rueful vision blurred by a mist, My cold fingers tightened into fists, My strength fleeing, and declining to stay, All hope disintegrating, and withering away, My heart plundered and left to decay, A hissing noise's making my soul its prey. A spider on the floor darts about freely, Ignores my frame, and springs past me: A disheveled state; an existence so meaningless The curse, the turmoil, the fear if being nothingness.

When i read this poem, it made me feel like a cold breeze went down my spine. It made me remember stuff. I think this is a great poem. I give it a 5 star vote. |

Correction: It is supposed to be 'of' rather than 'if' in the final line.
