cretinous fortunes of the needy soul

The cretinous fortunes of the needy soul
enjoying the torment in losing it all
inventing a drama where there is none
all for the loss of the nearly one
the aim is his fate! hmm, yeah right son.
behind is the fear that she's not the one
for the one was invented by his pride
lost in the tragedy in which he hides.

The cretinous fortunes of the needy soul
passing his conscience against a wall
holding back vomit and looking for a fight
lacking the power to back it up with fright
Perhaps when he recovers from the drink
his mind will alternate the way that it thinks
pumping out the anguish in order to soak
the cold and jagged edges of a heart that broke.
