changing of the guard

I have no respect for the human form
duplicitous creature running from the storm
stripping at all with little respect
for the future requirement, or the effect
sucking out the chemistry of millions of years
growing, outgrowing, peering at it's peers
ignoring the future, belittling the past
time and energy is running out fast
costs are rising as nature falls back
lack of sustenance will lead to attack
separating brothers, no shirts on their backs
west is fattened but is starting to lack.
