Buy me some understanding
I couldn't be further from home
sitting here in my room
I couldn't feel more alone
Buy me some motivation
to get onboard with life
Even though I have a ticket
Nothing ever feels right
And I don't need
to feel this way
Just light my cigarette
and fade away
There is no one way ticket
I always come right back
to where I choose
anxiety or a 12 pack
There is no north star to follow
It's cloudy from where I sit
and in my current state
it's the only time I give a *****
And I don't need
to feel this way
Engulfed in rain
on a sunny day
I don't need saving
I just need to play
Sad songs with sad friends
and fade away
Don't try to understand
these words all just fall
Undeserving melodies
In a drowned out concert hall
I feel so small
And I don't need
to feel this way
