I sit in the sidelines
For I'm the one from the outside looking in
Everyone gliding past me, as I stand alone
I see much of what they cannot see
But yet, they are the storytellers of me
Yes, I am fighting a battle from within
But I won't stumble, and I shall not fall
Warmth of a hug although would be nice
I rudely turn away the hands that reach
And long I still stand here, for what?
I have buried myself under much dust
Where there is no room to breathe
Perhaps I just don't ***** care any more than most
I do recognize the feeling all too well
It's the knowing of being hated
When all will fail, and all is at end
Still, no one will be satisfied
Who would there be left to go on about?
Yes, I do know the outcome
For I'm the one from the outside looking in
