I have no other way of speaking
Except through these words
My pen hits the paper
And my life bleeds out as ink
If no one understands me
Maybe these words will help
It's the only way I can express myself
The sad thing is
No one ever hears these words
For what they truly are
These words are a cry for help
Disguised as lyrics
But no one seems to notice
The blood and tears
Behind these words
No one notices the pain
In these words
I can only hope that one day
Someone somewhere will notice
Maybe then I'll be saved
But knowing me and my life
I'll be crying forever
Despite what happens to me
I'll never be saved
And I'll never be happy
These words are a cry for help
Disguised as lyrics
But no one seems to notice

No one notices the pain
In these words
I wish things were different
I want to stop crying
To stop the lonliness
And the self-hatred
But I can't
I'm destined to be miserable
Forever, until the day I die
The day I'll finally be released
These words are a cry for help

Wow I must say these may only be song lyrics yet they have more power within than one may think. Such words release the despair and agony the speaker (perhaps yourself) is struggling with. A very poweful write I must say. Hope all is going well now and that you confide in God for support,

These words they are the lyrics... that reached into my soul...
they found what I was missing... and then they made me whole.
:) I loved this piece. So many people don't realize how much feeling goes into a poem. I can feel the emotion in this piece. Beautiful. |
