All That I Am

Contributed by Deidra_Carmichael on Wednesday, 13th July 2011 @ 08:32:51 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

He says that words just are not enough for him

To describe all the details of the wonderful me

From the looks to the inner being

He sees a beautiful picture painted by the Creator

The One who has made our paths cross and intertwine

If I could thank the One who gave me life in a way I haven't before

He would find favor with His daughter, His precious creation

And although from time to time I am led astray by the world

He is merciful and reminds me of all that I am

So someone I find near and dear to my heart

Says God had me apart of his plan right from the start

And my love never look down upon yourself

For you're perfect, beautiful the way you are

And I think to myself, It is all a sheer miracle that I am loved and found love
Both from the One above and the one I'm matched with for life

So truly my Lord deserves my utmost for all that He has done

For creating me as his masterpiece and for giving me His love

You've penned a beautiful composition here, both delicate & powerful. If only we could all realize the joy & love that's put into our very creation & how precious each & every one of us truly is. We would behold ourselves & every other as sacred creatures with God given potential & this abundance that would surely bless the entire world. It is also a wonderful blessing that you've found someone who truly sees you as God intended. Peace & joy to you tonight. . . & every good thing. elle

From the portrait you've painted
I can vividly feel the love the subject receives
and can see the subject in all her beauty
a truly unique perspective write
there is something so alluring about this passage
something that touches the mind, body and soul
immaculate and an honor to have read

Two different themes of love have been very effectively amalgamated into a single piece. The poem also takes the reader by surprise by the move towards your love for the Creator in the second stanza. Indeed, love in either form is something to be really grateful to Him for.

Really enjoyed this one. Keep writing
Peace
Ammar
