You think I should have been more like you
I should have yelled and screamed
I should have put up a fight
I shouldn't have let you
Think you were right
I should have given into temptation in the past
That would have affects that would forever last
I should have inflicted more pain on myself
I should have been younger
I should have given you more
I should have, would have, could have done more
But you should have loved me more
You should have tried
You definitely shouldn't have lied
You should have cared
Left my feelings spared
I'm not perfect
But your flaws apparent
Gosh I wish you'd at least be a good parent
Step up
Shape up
If not just get out of our lives
Let us move on and be happy
Don't poison us
With your toxic ways any longer
