Ghalaqli z-zmien, u hawn qieghed nistrieh,
Rasi mgezza bejn idejja zghar,
Gebel tqil fuq gismi jghajjef u bla hajja,
Ma nistax niccaqlaq.
Izd' hekk kif tghib ix-xemx, l-ispirtu tieghi jtir,
Niltaqa mal-hbieb li ghadamhom, taht gebel tqil,
qed jistieh ma'gembi.
Tlett iqtates, tlett ihbieb,
Naqbzu,nilaghbu, nigru wara xi gurdien, bahrija,
Jew kull ma jigi quddien ghajnejna.
B' dembna 'l fuq, nigru qalb is-sigar, naqsmu t-triq,
Ghal go l-ghelieqi,sa ma naslu f'post li nafu sew.
U mbghad ghal fuq id-dielja, ghal fuq il-bjut,
Naqbzu hajt, u fl-ahhar naslu hawn, id-dar.
Kukhadd rieqed, kollox sieket,
Minn kamra ghall-ohra mmorru,
Sakemm insibu l-post li ghandna ghal qalbna,
Xi sodda jew xi siggu.
Le, m'hux biex norqdu,
Izda biex naraw li kollox sew, gheziez hbieb taghna.
U meta l-ewwel xaqq ta'dawl jidhol mit-tieqa,
Nergghu naqbdu l-pass u mmorru min fejn gejna,
U taht gebel kbir,nergghu nistriehu,
Sakemm jerga jasal filghaxija.

I like the sentiment behind it.
I thought English was always a hard language to learn, but Maltese looks pretty complicated!! lol
