The Noise

Topic: oops

She woke from
deep sleep
from a noise
most troubling.

Full of fright
from her bed
she crept

to find its source.

The noise was gone
but
what made it
wasn't.

Back to bed
she went.

This time
noiseless
was its return

to ensure
dead sleep
she would have.
