I sit and look out the window and standing here realise it is late too late to see the rolling hills yonder and indeed too late to see all that once was the years have rolled by like the rolling hills in fact the same hills i can no longer behold... i can no longer hold you because you've bought the farm you know, the one with the red barn, and it's miles away

I feel the grievous emotions within this poem. In fact this reminds me of It's Too Late by Carole King- a wonderful soulful singer. May God be your guide in everything,

This displays very deep emotions that are expressed brilliantly. Well written. |

'The Truth About It' really gets to me. I see it as a special poem -- and I have pictures in my mind: the hills, the farm. I would guess that there's a lot of metaphor here: but it is so sublime that it doesn't really show itself (at least it didn't to me) until the end. Good writing!
