Johnny wishes he never left home

Contributed by philiphemsby on Monday, 1st August 2011 @ 03:06:27 PM in AEST
Topic: Patriotic

Young Jonathan wishes he never left home
He left on a big ship, to serve his country
To distant lands he sailed, lands far beyond his simple beginnings
on a farm i suppose, or maybe an alley way in a big city
either one is applicable in this case
He wises he never left home, far from Haim's famous Rueben sammichs
or grandpaws moonshine, depending on his origins

BAM! gunshots
BAM! gutshot!

he bleeds his life blood on the sand
in his young spleen a bullet jammed
he did get a pretty good tan
but it was definitly not worth it, Uncle Sam!

What a remarkable response to this holy war we are in! Truthfully I know theresna reason behind this but why can't we all live peacefully? I mean, according to Aesop, persuasion is much more powerful than force. That's exactly how God/Jesus works too. God bless and may all be well with you,
Deidra
