For consideration
Of the lexis scribbled down
Moreover, the burdens conveyed
From thoughts that are bound
Convictions passed down
One generation, to the next
Victims of victims
Into stone carve the text
The code of the elders
For my part believed
At an age of innocence
My future received
The lessons delivered
Took charge of my heart
And in its own time
The haunting would start.
The scroll of the mind
Holds the deep-seat of thought
When the words are read
The demons be brought
When the text on the stone
Ive chipped away
With unsullied words
Carved in their place
There will be no victims
Left to fall from grace

calming and alarming at the same time. Culture is a good thing to have even if it seems illogical.
Especially liked the thought (just a thought) that there are 2 lines missing. There's always something missing |
