The street lamps of Monparnas... And the wet paving stones, are now different. Actually - the same. The old Paris sighs under the hat of the cathedrals. And the boulevard full early in the morning Like a glass of "Bordeaux, drunk by the clock. Ads on the glass buildings still remember how behind the turbid windows silhouettes of cares and generous poverty - leaned by a crushed stove pose the lack and empty hope in the eyes of a child. Ragamuffin. And bread is needed ...
Paris -- mad and sad ... Dead as the old dancer, found near trash bins. Under a starry dome of canvases, in paintings without frames put names of street artists painting per franc portraits of tourists. He loves early in the morning bread and buns, baked by an immigrant. An Arab. A Bulgarian. And a dog. Whatever. To have a newspaper. А pot of coffee. The subway to work. The wind with a corded bow plays false its own "Adazhio" faded in the vault under Notre Dame ... And early in the morning, all Paris smells of French bread and beds, sunk of shame in white. Now you are selling... My hopes. And you are begging alms from the bookworm. (They asked - underwear to be folded as needed ...) His wife, at 8 sharp, expected him to be there. You set your legs apart for an hour. After everything - a cigarette. You count money. A door is closed. The key to the reception. And the illuminated to pain mad boulevard, is waiting for you with taxis. With ads. And doors. Locked for you. The river is expecting you, Like a home, To shelter you inside.
