the scars you left

Contributed by SUMMERGIRL2011 on Wednesday, 24th August 2011 @ 07:44:23 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

you promised me your love, your heart.
and i accepted and i was willing.
i knew that i loved you more than life its self
but i didnt realize that with love
you cant jump in head first
because it is your heart that will break the most.

after the yelling stopped and the screaming subsided
the dust settled and all the weapons dropped to the ground
i always believed the words that you whispered into my ears
the lies you gave me and i accepted so easily.
i was blind to the truths glare, deaf to my friends warnings.
love had me in its trap and there was no getting out.
so baby what was i supposed to do the day it all came out in the wash.
all the lies and all the decite
i thought i could survive without you, start over with some one new.

and though he is great. and he makes me smile. and laugh
he will never heal the scars left on my soul and heart at your good bye.
so wher do i go from here youw ere all that i knew
and all that i loved.
you were my life and baby though i can breathe and talk and and live without you
all that i really am is a broken hearted zombie.
