with the unfinished picture,
the frame stands out fine.

look at the cloud,
with the silver lining.

look at the soldier
who only had a dagger to defend.
the one who walked home
alive in the end.

look at the rainbow
the one that you found the end.
and the faces you made
and the people who saw them
with the messages they sent.

look at the dreams
that can barely come true.
the ones that we strive for,
live for and die for,
that bring out the best in me
and bring out the best in you.
