A POEM IS A PICTURE -- IN A WAY

A POEM IS A PICTURE IN A WAY

A poem is a picture in a way

But its also a dream or like a dream

In a way a poem is what it wants

To be. Okay, a poem is a ghost. It haunts

You... So you read it or write it or say

It silently... Or you sing it sometimes

It doesnt really matter what it wants

Or needs. After all, it is a house. Rhymes

Are windows. Lines are doors. The title: a gate

To some Where somewhere that is far away.

I agree completely; a poem is a picture, ghost, even a house! It is many things to many individuals. To some it is a response to reality and to others it is a refuge from life's troubles. Right here this poem is a wonderful write and very enjoyable to read,
Deidra

Sometimes your capitalization distracts from the read...something to think about. (or not ;))Like the thought's here.
