A soul mate is a friend who stood by your side
Gave you good advise and told you that you tried
He kept you safe and told you not to hide
and he gave you a shoulder while you cried
He took you by the hand and held you very near
sheltered you from evil and protected you from fear
He knew just what to say when you were feeling down
he put a smile upon your face and took away your frown
and everyday was special with him by your side
with him in your life, in him you could confide
with him you could connect deeper then the rest
and hoped you could give him your very best
Your life was more special each and every day
He was your everything what more could you say
he was your man, your lover and your friend
and you thanked the angels for him they did send
forever you will love him, till death did you part
forever he loved you, your kept in his heart
but don't you worry for his face youll soon see
as soul mates are forever and together you will be
