Turn off your thoughts, turn on the lights
Replace your qualms, displace your charms.
Read me like an open book with a single glance
Only search for that one chance.
Carry on my soul, my life
It is do or die.
Carry me to the shores of strife
where it is just you and I.
We will meet again by the pear tree
In our shade we nestle gently
uncovering the truth in the skies
clouds hovering like little white lies.
Unearth the neediness in my heart
how I wear it like a scarf.
Beautiful, vivacious, lovely creature
won't you be the one to save me.
Make me a star in your main feature
for your only darling I crave to be.
Turn me on, nudge me along,
I smell the flowers in your hair
my heart claims this is where I belong
with you I feel at peace, with you I have no blank stare.
