Hand-painted Periwinkles
Tea in the typical china set I shall not serve you Rather hand-painted periwinkles will do Oh how I enjoy flaunting my Royal Dalton Until Elizabeth's spills tea and crumpets are molten Candlelight suppers are my forte Neighbors receive my invitation secretly with dismay
My best attire is not only reserved for Sunday For I wish to express to the world my luminous ray Of taste and culture Britain seems to have lost My burlesque sisters out the door I shall toss
Oh all the stories you could hear Of my dear Sheridan and his boyhood years And Richard with his dilly dallying With all my tasks for him; the fun he is having Haughty you may find my disposition How about my fine Hand-painted periwinkles edition
