Elusive Happiness
We people of this world strive and struggle all our life For the comforts that bring forth happiness alight But to me that never really seemed alright Seemed more like an aimless wandering of a knight
You see things that we trust pleasure reside Are but a semblance of our hazed eye-sight The more we approach it the further it recedes And when ultimately get it, sure it disap-pears But in our mad pursuit like the wandering knight We hastily jump on to another phantasy tonight Alas! the poor mad knight never realize That what he seekest most is in his own heart reside.
