In beautiful peace
Her crimson lips pale and cold
She fades into dust

This is beautiful. It reminds me a lot of the poem i just wrote "Invisible beauty." this poem makes me think of death and the loss you feel. It is very beautiful, and also... very sad.

Silent Beauty is a poem that makes you gasp -- had that effect on me, anyhow... The form usually suggests pastoral; this time we get Truth -- Bitter Truth. Brave Honesty. Dark Irony. Unforeseen Paradox: well done.

Three simple lines of beauty and that is what makes such a poem easy to remember. IT has a lot meaning.
