Dirty Little Secret

I`m nobody`s dirty little secret.
I`m not a present to hide
that you unwrap when you think of it.

I`m not a book on a shelf
getting dusty waiting on you.
I`m not pages of words
forever in queue.

I`m nobody`s least played with toy
that you take out every once in a while.
You can`t come around when you want
with a crooked smile.

I`m nobody`s lost little puppy.
I`m not looking for a home.
You can`t set me aside
and keep me loyal while you roam.

I`m nobody`s dirty little secret.
You can`t cover me in sweet clover
then turn around and run me over.

I`m nobody`s dirty little secret.
I`m not under your spell anymore,
I won`t keep it.
